JUMPING OFF THE CLIFF... Many Christians talk about having a vision or plans for ministry, but when they run to the edge of the cliff to pursue their dreams, they stop short. When an eagle teaches its young to fly, it pushes the baby eagle out of the nest. In short time, the baby, though flapping its wings, will fall. But before harm can come, the mother swoops underneath to catch it and takes it up to the nest again. This continues until the young bird can master flying on its own.  As Christians, we often forget the hand of God that is right there to catch us when we jump off the cliff. The difference is that God won’t push us -- we have to initiate the jump!

     Mark was inspired to write the title song of this CD after meditating on Psalm 118. Tradition says this psalm was sung during the Passover feast.  So Jesus probably sang this the night before He was crucified. The words were true for Him then, and they are still true for us today!
