8/22/07 Wow, have we been negligent with our stuff. We’ve had a whirlwind time this year traveling to Chicago 4 times already. Did a cruise in the BVI on the Windjammer Legacy tall masted ship, then followed up with a cold winter in Chicago, and even colder in Colorado. Next another trip in April to Chicago for a funeral AND Mark’s birthday. May? Denise did a solo trip thru Utah for 10 days including a 4 wheel drive 58 mile trail! June? Another wedding in Chicago. July? A funeral in Chicago. Wow, August, Mark in Washington for 2 weeks. Sept? Denise going to Florida. We JUST got a webcam and are starting to post parody videos on www.youtube.com and www.GODTUBE.com. Check it all out.
Denise, aka ParodyQueen, has done Just Forgive Them (That’s Amore), and Call Him The Breeze (Call Me The Breeze) up on the tubular sites. Trying the learning curve for all our new gear.
3/22/07 -- Hello we’re back!!! Wow, we’ve been busy. Just 2 months ago we were sailing around the British Virgin Islands on a tall-masted ship. How awesome is that? The snorkeling was cool, and the sunsets great. January & February found snowstorms abounding, both in Chicago where Denise was with family and friends and in Colorado!
Starting this month, we’ve begun to work on our parody CD album. Denise has written all the songs, but is having a tough time choosing which ones will show up. They’ll have to be in the vault until we record them.Let us know by e-mail which of the following songs you’d like to hear.

Meanwhile, Mark is entering the King of the Blues contest with the local Guitar Center here in Colorado Springs. Be sure to show up on Tuesday, the 27th at 6PM to catch him in action up against 7 other guys (wonder why no gals are trying to win?).
9/1/06 -- We’ve just started working on our parody CD, and came up with a new song for it, which is a rewrite of The Knack’s My Sharona. It’s a hoot. Back in the recording studio, Mark’s working his chops for the guitar licks and parts we’ll fill in on the album. We also want to welcome a new member to our family, the Baby Bottle microphone. For those of you sound afficienados, this is a primo mic that will be awesome for vocals or just instruments.
8/15/06 -- We just finished our one year commitment to Springs Rescue Mission here in Colorado Springs. We’ve been one of four rotating teams that minister a Sunday morning service at the Rescue Mission building and began on 9/11 of 2005. We’ve seen some great things, healings, prayer being answered, and the love of God open people up. We have passed the baton onto another team, and if you’re looking for a local church in Colorado Springs, you can find the service at 10AM on Sunday mornings at 5 W. Las Vegas. You’ll be blessed by any number of people who have a heart for God’s grace to be shed into your hearts.
7/31/06 -- We just did another outdoor concert in Woodland Park for New Beginnings Church. Another band, The Travis Lee Band from Missouri, was there as well. We appreciate the support of all of you who came out to see us and cheer us on. We had a live broadcast by a local radio station as well from their radio truck.
6/30/06 -- We just did an outdoor concert in Woodland Park for New Beginnings Church. The weather was kind of crummy, but God is here all the time! We’re doing another one the end of July at Memorial Park. Hope to see you there
6/16/06 -- OUCH, FOOT INJURY Denise just had a serious foot injury. A small table collapsed and dropped an 18 pound professional tape recording deck, with pointed metal rack ears falling squarely on the top of her right foot. Several toes were broken, and she was told it would take about 4 months for all the tendons to get healed. We covet your prayers during this time.
5/14/06 -- WE’RE BACK FROM FLORIDA!!-- What a time of ministry we had in Seminole Florida at Victory Christian Center. We spent three sessions teaching on How To Minister Like Jesus. One youth got fired up and got confidence to go forth. One woman was healed of hearing loss and poor eyesight. We can’t wait to get our hands on God’s people!
4/30/06 -- WE’RE BACK FROM CALIFORNIA!!!-- Man, oh man, nothing beats ministering the love of God with signs and wonders following. We just returned from Banning, CA where God was moving in mighty ways. While the Azusa Street Revival was going on in the LA area, we had our own Upper Room happening at Faith Builders Family Church. Alternating meetings with a powerful man of God, Dave Duell, we rocked the house with our music as well as Mark’s prophetic anointing on his electric guitar. Words of knowledge flowed along with healings and miracles. Mornings were tough on the body to teach because we got in late every night from meetings that just wouldn’t quit! Pastors Dan & Nancy Thompson, along with daughter Liz were awesome hosts and the people at FBFC were nothing short of spectacular. We pray we’ll run into this kind of hospitality wherever we go. We were able to bust out our new Scripture Meditations 6 packs which went like wildfire. Next up?? Florida next week where we’ll be teaching people how they can minister like Jesus. If you’re in the Seminole/St. Pete area, stop on by at Victory Community church!
2/21/06 COVER DESIGNS ROCK -- We’re running with the vision and putting this vision to art with our new cd covers for Scripture Meditations and What About The Blood? Warning labels will be carried on the Scripture Meds CD’s, that these are NOT dangerous to your health though you may get addicted! How weird that I just found out blood doesn’t turn red until it’s exposed to oxygen. This recently was discovered as we were trying to get a right ‘color’ to the blood on our new design for What About the Blood? Pushing to get this onto paper and printed is a challenge right now! Wow, you’ll flip over these.
2/10/06 Finally, Denise said, I’m able to get these parodies off of paper and onto some serious CD’s. Picking up where I left off, the project is called “The Tune Remains The Same” and I’m hoping to get two albums done by year end! Mark who’s the techno-whiz, will help with the blend of live music and midi files. Look for some serious as well as amusing parodies from such artists as, Queen (We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions), The Bee Gees (Staying Alive), Deep Purple (Smoke On The Water), The Bangles (Walk Like An Egyptian), Led Zeppelin (Stairway To Heaven), Lynard Skynard (Call Me The Breeze), Pink Floyd (Money), Cameo (Word Up), and Toto (Rosanna), as well as some country (Elvira), and oldies from The Big Bopper(Chantilly Lace). Sacred cows make the best hamburger!
2/10/06 SLAMMED WITH NEW PRODUCTS COMING OUT -- We’re trying to keep pace with all that God has put on the inside of us to come out. In the next month, we will have three new products, INCLUDING our new “6-pack” of Scripture Meditations, where Denise reads scriptures to Mark’s smooth instrumental playing. We’re halfway there with Healing, Righteousness, and Grace. Still to come and be finished are Favor, Preserved and The Tongue. We’re had great response to those who have gotten the singles. But not caught up putting them on the products page yet. SECOND?? Our new 3-part series on The Gifts of the Holy Spirit. This was created from a 10 week course we wrote for a Bible college in Denver. This is the last three teachings of the series. THIRD?? We’ve got our books out now on CD!!!!!! WOW, what a deal.
12/13/05 UPCOMING CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR COLORADO BIBLE COLLEGE, THURS 12/15. This Thursday, we’ll be jammin’ in the rhythm of the Holy Ghost when we back the Dean of Students, Wayne Knurr, and his group on an all-out blues number, Walking With Jesus. Mark has some electrifying guitar work mapped out, while I’ll be playing ‘in the pocket’ on bass for this song. He hee . After that, we’ll look forward to grabbing some deep dish pizza from Gino’s East in Chicago over the holidays, and swing on thru Kansas to visit Faith Ministries World Outreach Center with our friends, Dennis & Denise Capra. WHAT A DEAL!
12/11/05 SALVATION IS AWESOME: Wow, we’ve been super busy these past couple of weeks. Today was a banner day for our ministry. Why? Because another person received Jesus at the local Springs Rescue Mission. We met a man who wanted to know if God could forgive him because he had killed someone when he was 12 yrs old. After we explained God’s “amazing grace” and mercy to this man, he wanted to receive Jesus. He’s been carrying around a huge weight all those many years, and said that he just kept seeing himself over and over doing that terrible thing. Apparently someone had convinced him to do this who was older than him, and he found himself constantly reliving his past. We shared with him how God so loved the world while we were YET IN SIN, and that forgiveness is for PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE sins. He had a hard time believing that because he put his act of sin on a scale where murder is way worse in God’s eyes than stealing. But according to James, sin is sin in God’s eyes, and when we sin in one point, we’ve sinned in every area. There is no difference to God -- the only difference is in how many people may be affected by our act of disobedience! We were able to provide this man with a Bible, and encouraged him to come for weekly Discipleship classes being held Tues evenings at the Mission.
So,what’s the good news for today? God isn’t mad at us anymore. Jesus made peace with mankind thru his death when he BECAME SIN for us who KNEW NO SIN, so we could become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God.! (2 Cor 5:21)
12/01/05 SUNDAY CELEBRATION: We found ourselves ministering again on 10/30 at the Colorado Springs Rescue Mission. Mark was explaining how when we were justified thru Christ, that it’s like text justification on a computer or typewriter. Everything goes to the margins and there is nothing uneven or messy with the text. Just as we were messy prior to our salvation, Jesus’ blood cleansed us, created a new spirit within us, and made us completely even and right with God! What a deal! Our next time is on 11/27.
10/21/05 FREECYCLE IS AWESOME. If you live in the States and want to give away some new or gently used items, or are in need of anything from pets to vinyl skirting on a trailer, this is the site for you. Go to www.freecycle.org, register for your area, and start posting. It’s a great way to keep stuff out of landfills and bless others as well. You’ll be amazed at the quick responses!
10/20/05 MINISTER’S CONFERENCE ROCKED. What an awesome time we had at Andrew Wommack’s Minister’s Conference two weeks ago. We saw many lives changed and encouraged thru the wonderful teaching of Andrew along with super praise and worship music from Charlie and Jill LeBlanc (www.charlieandjill.com). We received some prophetic words from Andrew which confirmed we are right on track with God’s plan.
10/2/05 -- HURRICANE KATRINA IS NOT GOD’S JUDGMENT So many times we’ve heard that disasters, such as the latest with Hurricane Katrina, are God’s judgment on America. Then we hear well-meaning Christians go to 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. By using this verse, what they are actually saying is that Jesus didn’t complete the work of forgiveness on the cross and did NOT provide salvation for past, present, and future sins -- that God is still judging the land.
But this verse in Chronicles was written prior to Jesus’ death and resurrection. If we look to Hebrews 8:12, it says ..’and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.’ Hebrews 7:22 says Jesus was “made a surety of a better testament.” Go to Hebrews 10:17 that speaks of God’s covenant where “their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” We are no longer in the Garden of Eden where there once was perfection, but we do live in an imperfect world -- a world that contains sin, sickness, and death. The earth is groaning waiting for Jesus to return and make it new again. There was a curse that was released upon it through Adam’s sin and these groans include natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes.
This world will not be here forever as we know it. 2 Peter 3:10 says that “the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up...all these things shall be dissolved...” But the good news is in Revelation 21:1 where it says there will be ...a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
Luke 9:56 says that Jesus didn’t come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them!! John 10:10 says the satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came so we might have life. We are living during a time when God is not imputing men’s sin unto them (2 Cor 5:19). Now there were godly men and women who did lose their lives during these times, but God wasn’t judging them. If it was God’s judgment, it would have been far more severe than what had happened.
